Property Manager

Position overview:

The Community Builders, Inc. (“TCB” www.tcbinc.org), is a leading national developer and operator of mixed-income communities. With an annual budget of over $40 million, TCB is one of the largest non-profit urban affordable housing developers in the United States. Since 1964, we have successfully developed over 25,000 affordable and mixed-income rental and for-sale homes for families, seniors and handicapped residents in nine states in the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Midwest regions. TCB communities are financed by a combination of private and public funding sources, including low income housing credit investment, Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage insurance, Section 8 subsidies, up-front grants, Section 202 grants and loans, Hope VI, and other housing grants and loans.
We are currently seeking a Property Manager to manage 67 family units. The Property Manager will have full responsibility for all aspects of the management of the site on a daily basis. She/he will be responsible for ensuring that the standards and priorities of the organization are met.
Primary responsibilities include:

Hiring, orienting and supervising property staff
Collaborating with site team and residents to create and maintain a thriving, successful community
Ensuring compliance with the property’s financial performance goals and managing all accounting aspects (monthly operating reports, A/P, rent collection, banking, budgeting etc.)
Maintaining all regulatory compliance requirements
Effectively marketing the property to ensure a positive community image;
Managing the leasing process from initial application to move-in and ensuring resident requests are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner;
Being accountable for the overall condition of the property to ensure that it is maintained and in the best condition possible.
Should be able to understand financial reports and budgets
Solid communications skills
Formal education/training or certification helpful, with an understanding of regulatory requirements a big plus!

Requirements
Successful candidates will be Tax credit certified and have 5+ years experience within property management. Must be a strong multi-taker, and have a genuine service orientation.
