The Community Builders, Inc. develops a wide range of affordable and mixed-income rental housing — from single-room occupancy units to garden apartments to large rental properties. Our larger projects involve master planning with leading architects of New Urbanism. Each development focuses on the needs of the individual communities, engaging residents and neighbors in an inclusive community planning process.
TCB has completed or preserved 25,000 rental units, using a wide variety of public and private financing sources - tax exempt bonds, conventional private debt financing, syndication of Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and a wide array of government grants and loans provided by local, state, and federal sources.
Our ownership role enables us to be a long-term participant in the integration of housing and support services with resident participation.
