Johnny Martinez serves as director of asset management at The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB), a position he has held since 2020. Johnny leads a team of asset managers and analysts who are based in each of TCB’s regions, overseeing portfolio analysis and reporting, and working with the chief investment officer and TCB colleagues to identify and execute strategic improvements in TCB properties. Asset management works closely with property management, finance, Community Life and real estate development to ensure responsible ownership of TCB’s communities.

Johnny has over 20 years of experience in real estate, specializing in affordable housing asset management. He began his career in single-family construction and construction lending consulting before transitioning to asset management. He has represented GP interests for developers as well as investor interests for financial institutions and syndicators. Prior to joining TCB, he was a senior vice president in Bank of America’s Tax Credit Equity Investments group.

Johnny holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from the University of Houston and a certificate in real estate finance from Boston University.
