Leah Van Tassel serves as director of payroll, benefits and wellness for The Community Builders, Inc. in Boston, a position she has held since 2022. Leah leads the payroll and benefits team, manages human resource information systems operations, and designs holistic wellness programming for TCB employees.

Previously, Leah served as payroll and benefits manager at TCB where she helped design and administer benefit plans, managed biweekly payroll processing, and helped streamline new HR technology. She joined TCB in 2009, serving in a variety of roles including payroll and benefits administrator. Leah serves as co-chair of TCB’s Climate Task Force.

Leah holds a master’s degree in gender/cultural studies from Simmons University and a bachelor’s degree in English with minors in studio art and Italian studies from Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
