Morgan Wilson serves as chief financial officer and treasurer for The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) in Boston. He oversees financial management, accounting and information systems functions.
Morgan joined TCB in 2000. He previously served as TCB’s vice president of development operations, where he provided support and training to development staff and managed TCB’s grant management, lending, Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), and New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) activities. From 2004 to 2012, he established TCB’s asset management function and served as director of asset management. Prior to 2002, he served in a variety of capacities, including investor services, asset management, finance project management and in workouts and dispositions.
Prior to joining TCB, Morgan served as senior project manager for a Boston community development corporation. Prior to his work in affordable housing and community development, he served as a securities analyst and portfolio manager for a Boston socially responsible investment advisor and in a variety of roles in academic publishing in North Carolina.
Morgan serves as a member of the Finance Committee of 2Life Communities, a member of the Finance Committee of Beacon Hill Friends House, a member of the Racial Equity and Inclusion Committee of the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation (MHIC), a member of the Permanent Board of the New England Yearly Meeting of Friends, a member of the Land Protection Committee of Sudbury Valley Trustees, and a member of the Board of Directors of Woolman Hill.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy summa cum laude from Loyola University in New Orleans.
