Steve Lodi serves as senior vice president of operations for The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) in Boston, a position he has held since 2016. Steve directs and mentors multiple portfolio operations managers in all phases of property, leasing, maintenance and financial operations, ensuring that the company’s financial, business and customer service objectives are achieved across the portfolio. He works to foster alignment across the region with development, community life and other departments to create consistency, brand integrity, new business opportunities and an environment for the residents that allow them to maximize their social and economic potential. Steve also participates in developing tactical and effective plans for the property management department to best achieve strategic plans in order to ensure that TCB is the management company of choice allowing for strong and steady growth of the portfolio.

Previously, Steve was a regional director with HallKeen Management where he oversaw operations of a portfolio of market rate and affordable residential and mixed-use properties in the Greater Boston area, Western Mass., Vermont, Connecticut and upstate New York. He has also worked extensively in Rhode Island and North Carolina.

Steve is experienced in the marketing and leasing of both affordable and conventional apartments and his substantial inner-city experience has provided the rewarding opportunity to oversee both family and senior affordable communities, with a particular focus on resident support and empowerment.

Steve has been involved with property management since 1988 and his professional certifications include CPM® ARM ®, CAM, and CPO designations through IREM, NAA, NEAHMA, and also holds the SPECTRUM’S C11P (Certified Tax Credit Compliance Professional).
