June 11, 2026

BOSTON – The Community Builders (TCB) President and CEO Bart Mitchell announced the appointment of Morgan Wilson as chief of systems and strategy and Alexa Ducote to succeed Wilson as chief financial officer, effective June 12. Both leaders will report to Mitchell.

“Morgan and Alexa exemplify the strength of TCB’s leadership team and the value of thoughtful succession planning. Their appointments reflect our investment in strong internal leadership, enterprise systems and financial sustainability,” said Mitchell. “Morgan’s deep knowledge of business operations, information and data enables TCB to drive impact with systems innovation. Alexa’s financial expertise and deep commitment to TCB’s mission have already made her a trusted partner to senior management, the board of directors and key financial stakeholders.”

Chief of systems and strategy is a new role at TCB, recognizing the importance of business systems and technology to the organization’s success. In his new role, Wilson will continue to oversee information technology and business information systems teams and will work closely with Mitchell on advancing change initiatives, including strategic planning for 2027–2029.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving TCB by connecting strategy, systems and execution,” said Wilson. “Strong systems are essential to data driven management at TCB’s scale. At a time of enormous technological change, I look forward to driving our strategic priorities.”  Wilson first joined TCB in 2000 and, after a brief time away, returned in 2004 as director of asset management. He was named chief financial officer in 2019.   Wilson holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, summa cum laude, from Loyola University in New Orleans.  He also serves as a member of the finance committee of 2Life Communities and a member of the board of directors of Woolman Hill.

As CFO, Ducote will oversee strategy and operations for financial management and accounting. Ducote joined TCB in 2013 as a development accountant and quickly advanced in leadership, most recently serving as vice president of corporate finance and accounting. She has led strategic initiatives to strengthen TCB’s financial reporting, accounting operations and cash management practices.

“I am honored to serve as chief financial officer and to build on TCB’s strong foundation,” said Ducote. “Over the past decade, I have seen how sound financial systems, accurate real time reporting and partnership help TCB drive business results and deliver on our mission. I look forward to working with Bart and the board to support long-term financial strength for the communities we serve.”  Ducote holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
